Ascalon Capital Managers Limited (Ascalon) is owned by the Westpac Group.

Ascalon’s vision is to build independent, fast-growing boutique fund managers identified as leaders in the next generation of funds management. Ascalon acquires equity stakes in boutique fund managers with specialist investment expertise, that are seen to have the potential to become significant participants in the Australian funds management industry. Ascalon aims to create a portfolio of diverse fund managers with distinctive investment management styles, whilst providing strategic capital, seed funding and a number of support services.

The size of Ascalon’s equity stake varies for each investment, depending on the maturity of the boutique fund manager and its capital requirements.
